Crisis Core Goddess Materia Locations And How To Find Them
Unlocking the final confrontation in Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core requires players to locate seven distinct Goddess Materia scattered throughout Chapter 10. These essential orbs act as key items to unseal the pathway leading directly to Genesis in the depths beneath Banora. Navigating this underground labyrinth can prove tricky, but systematically exploring each zone ensures you gather every necessary piece efficiently.
Finding the Four Materia in Depths of Judgement
Upon descending into the Depths of Judgement, players will discover four of the seven Goddess Materia hidden inside treasure chests. The Light Materia rests in plain view right as you begin your descent into the area. Moving further down the main slope toward the eastern paths allows you to collect the Heaven Materia and Ground Materia tucked near rock faces.
To secure the fourth item in this section, backtrack to the lower path and head toward the southern portion of the map. Searching around the lower cavernous walls reveals the Star Materia near the passage leading toward the next zone. Taking time to clear these primary chests ensures you do not have to double back later in the chapter.
Locating the Final Three Materia in Lake of Oblivion
Transitioning into the Lake of Oblivion exposes players to the remaining three Goddess Materia needed for the portal mechanism. The Life Materia lies along the outer right wall shortly after entering the cavernous lake region. Because the dim lighting makes chests easy to overlook, hugging the boundary wall carefully will prevent missing it.
Searching the northwestern section of the Lake of Oblivion will reward players with the Being Materia near the edge of the cavern. Finally, the Sabbath Materia can be found positioned close to the localized save point toward the southeastern corner. Gathering all seven items fully prepares Zack to unlock the Portal of Severance gate.
Placing the Materia at the Portal of Severance
Once all seven Goddess Materia are safely in your inventory, navigate toward the Portal of Severance to proceed. Interacting with the pedestal in this central room allows Zack to set every orb in place, which triggers a mandatory mini-boss encounter. Defeating this enemy unseals the final doorway, opening the path forward to complete the campaign.
Preparing your equipment and materia loadout beforehand is recommended since powerful foes guard these deep subterranean chambers. Following a systematic route through both cavern sections keeps your progression smooth and stress-free. With the gate open, you are ready to face the final challenges of the story.
